This is Yingqi Wu

Aspiring Instructional Designer | Bilingual Educator | Multilingual  Learner

I was born in Hunan, China, and later moved to Guangzhou (in southern China), where I spent my formative years.

I studied in Guangzhou all the way through university, and then pursued my first master's degree in education at the University of Hong Kong.

Following my graduation, I worked for three years in Shenzhen as a third-grade bilingual homeroom teacher, where I gained valuable experience in supporting young learners in a multilingual environment. Through my teaching practice, I discovered the transformative role of technology in education and became passionate about exploring its potential. This inspired me to pursue further specialization in the field, leading me to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill to earn my second master's degree in educational technology.

I am fluent in Mandarin, Hunan dialect, and English, with a strong understanding of Cantonese, and I am currently learning Spanish. I believe that being multilingual not only broadens one’s horizons but also enhances the ability to connect with diverse communities.
